Class Rings

Graduate Services East will be coming to school onáThursday,áOctober 9th at 12:30 PMáto meet with the entire junior class for a class ring PowerPoint presentation in the auditorium.á We will bring all supplies with us at this time.á The representative willádistributeáthe class ring packets to the students after the presentation.

They will come back the following week onáWednesday,áOctober 15tháto take the juniors'áclass ring orders during Ace Time in the cafeteria and also after-school fromá3:00-5:30 PM. áYou will need to bring their order form and your down payment on this day.

Danes Visit John A. Holmes
Danish students from our sister school visited John A. Holmes today. They participated in seminars in the media center. Mrs. O'Kelley taught them about music during the Civil War and they got a chance to test their singing voices. Mr. Moore's International Studies class did a collaborative project with the Danish students on technologies during the Civil War.á

39th Annual Peanut Run and Walk

As John A. Holmes celebrates our farming community and the rich heritage it brings to Edenton and Chowan County begin your day with a wonderful run or walk through Hayes Plantation. See the link below for the registration form.á

Book Club

We will be meeting once a week to discuss 1 book a month. The book for October will be If I Stay by Gayle Forman.á

We will meeting both Aces in the media center September 29 to discuss day/time we want to meet and what the book club with entail.á

2014-15 Drivers Education

Important Notes:
  • Eligible students must be age 14 1/2 prior to the first day of class.
  • Students must bring a copy of their original birth certificate prior to or on the first day of class. The birth certificate card is not acceptable.
  • Classes are limited to 25 students. Sign-up is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
